Education Programs

   The Center for Celebration Arts and Michelle Berne have designed and implemented a number of innovative, community based arts education projects in Los Angeles County:

•The Santa Monica Festival Arts Education Program in collaboration with the Santa Monica Division of   Cultural Affairs, The Santa Monica Division of Environmental Education, and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, and the 18th Street Arts Center.

•The SMARTS in the Schools Program in partnership with the California Arts Council, The Santa   Monica-Malibu Unified School District, the Santa Monica Division of Cultural Affairs, the 18th Street   Arts Center, and the Dana Foundation.

•The Chesterfield Square Arts Education Program in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Division of Public Art and the LA’s Best After School Program.

•The Rhizorphorous Project in collaboration with Keith Antar Mason and 10th grade students at Venice High School. This Project was supported by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs AIR Grant 2001.

•The After School Arts Program (ASAP) model in partnership with LA’s
Best After School Programs.
